Being nineteen isn't easy, especially when you have to worry about grades, life and growing up. I'm currently a Mass Comm student in poly and hoping to become someone important in the media industry. Monday, March 30, 2009 buzy buzy buzy. i've no time to blog yet. ;( i'm basically focused on HS work for now. it's very important. newsletter delayed. have to come out with 3 issues this week to make up for it. and.. important 2 weeks event coming really soon. must settle it. ANDDDDD. mummy's bday on wed. crap. i'm still feeling lazy like hell. i really like me bein buzy though :D keep my brain alive. mummy's bday on wed. card not started, gift not bought. HOW ! PANIC. RAWR. must make card tmr. must buy gift tmr. what to buy? braclet? pendant? x__x hmmmmms. i really NEED to work on newsletter. sigh. late issue + april fool's + this fri's ! o.m.g. 2 wk events ! competitior has like 32 events in 2 weeks. RAWR. we.must.win. lo ! rough plan out. still need to research on countries.. and divide manpower.. and confirm events. and design banners and.. find ppl to write articles ! i think, i must work on mummy's pressie AND newsletter at the same time. THEN go research event plan on wed. hmm. ANYWAY. will be meeting 2 aunts and mummy for lunch tmr. so there will be new photos for y'all ! Wednesday, March 25, 2009 :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD I'm so .. thankful. (: after 6 appeals and my stubborn no-giving up, i finally achieved it. don't know what i'm talking about? here's my story, in short. Since primary school, i wanted a media course. i love absolutely everything related to it. i promised myself to work hard during o's to get better points. but, i couldn't finish my geog, thus getting a way unexpected grade. unexpected grade = not good enough points. not good enough points = can't get in np or sp. thus, i got put into another poly in a totally nightmare-ish course. (to me) i can rmb that morning.. i woke up and rmbed it was posting day. check my sms.. then i cried x__x " Congrats ! You got posted to ___ Poly and your diploma course would be Sports and Leisure Management. " i never imagined to be posted there because it wasn't one of my 12 choices. it was seriously bad, for me. i mean sports !? my friend, barath (whom i known for..8 years), almost died of laughing. serious. then i started worrying about my future. "what i'm i going to do next time?" "How i'm i going to face this if it becomes my career?" i started calling schools to ask abt appeals. and found out about one and tried it. (failed.) then, what i dreaded came. " So, where did you get posted to ? What course? " i was ashamed of my posting. people asked on posting days, gathering days, cny. " oh haha, erm, ___ poly. erm, some management course la. (paiseh like hell) " during the holidays, i tried to appeal whenever chances came. i avoided the orientation because i refused to accept reality. but sch came, and i had to go. i knew nth about my sch. whether if it was the system or the ppl in my class. it was really lucky when i found out that first years do the same stuff. throughout the year one, i appealed to almost every poly, trying hard. one by one it went, apology letters flew it. I couldn't give up, i realised. so i continued. i met good friends in sch, and i realised, i don't wanna leave them. then i asked myself, maybe i could try changing course? I asked around for advice. some said, the course transfer policy was removed. lis told me his friend tried with a GPA of 4.0 and failed. i felt that there was always a maybe. so why not try? i emailed the CCC's in charge and asked him about course transfer. he told me that he thanked me for the interest but there's no such policy anymore. i tried to convince and gain the same reply. i didn't know what to do, then concentrated on poly transfers instead. year one ended and holidays came. i checked the sch mail one day and i recieved an email from CCC's in charge, Mr Yim. He said he wanted to have a sort of an interview session with me. and asked when i was free? i was excited, yes. the day of the interview was my bday. nervously, i gave my all in the interview and answered qns (confidently, hopefully). Mr Yim and Dr Gan were nice. Yet, i felt that this was my last hope. Mr Yim told me that they will update me soon. So, I waited. Checking email frequently. A few weeks before, an email came, announcing that they have completed their discussion. They will check with the office and email us again. I was tense and continued to wait. Last wednesday, Mr Yim emailed and say he wanted me to pass me a form to sign as part of the course transfer. Tears sneaked down as I realised his words. However, i didn't want to confirm it till I hear it personally. TODAY. I went down to school to send my lappy for a maintanence and to collect form. Mr Yim met me and two other students and brought us to a small meeting rm. " You have been picked..." Those wonderful words. He hands us the form with our names, transfer details, his signature. We were briefed on the modules we're taking, what block we'll be at, details to note. He said the course had about 100 students and some had left due to certain problems. That's why, he could picked us. 4 of us. And I was one of them. I'm still in the omg, i can't believe it mode. serious. IMPT : I am not gloating or anything. I swear i'm geniuely happy ! (:(: My thank yous : Thank you family ! (That includes all my lovely aunts/uncles in mummy's side) Thank you BESTIES ! (my nana and my lim : FOR EVERYTHING) Thank you Kylie ! (for praying for me.) Thank you Yingnan ! (for accompanying me today) Thank you Beatrice ! (for jiayou-ing and yr concern AND tolerating my calls) Thank you Joyceee ! (for jiayou-ing and yr concern) Thank you Janice ! (for jiayou-ing and yr concern) Thank you Gwen ! (for jiayou-ing and yr concern) Thank you Isabel ! (for jiayou-ing and yr concern) Thank you TianTian ! (for jiayou-ing and yr concern) Thank you JasonBF ! (for listening to me rant and yr concern ) Thank you Nelson ! (for concern and tolerating my rant) Thank you Tian ! (for being there and advicing me for the transfer) Thank you Maomao ! (for letting me disturb you for countless times) Thank you Mr Yim and Dr Gan ! (for giving me a chance) Thanks to all those lovely friends who wished me luck or congratulated me. I'm seriously grateful to have friends like y'all who are there for me and share my joy (:(: I'm so grateful, I might cry ! I LOVE YOU GUYS, i seriously do. I am a Diploma in Communication and Information Design student. (FYI, DCID learns Journalism, Marketing communication, PR and etc. Further studies to Mass Comm ! EK ! xD) it feels so unreal to say it and yes, i'm proud to be a CCC student. :D Going to hand in form tmr. gahh. need sleep soon ! more soon ! xoxo. !!!

Tuesday, March 17, 2009 HELLOOOOOOOOOOO my lovelies ! it's time to blog again ! i have too many pictures to edit. ahahahs. o well. last week was awesome. i got to go out with both besties (: anyways ! the previous post, i said i saw luozhixiang right? here are some "blurry" fotos i took x__x (note : I'm SUPER far away from him.)        i wore leggings that day :D is that weird for signing session?  ALRIGHTTTTS. went out with kehlim last monday :D haven't hang out with her for agesss lo. hees. we went to bugis 'cause i wanted to buy boots and i heard there are cheap ones there ~ when we walk from mrt to first floor right, we passed by pastamania. they were having the student price? erm. 30% or smth till 5pm. so kehlim, being budget, (hahaha) ask if we should have early dinner. and i was like, okay lo. walked around in bugis and bugis street till it's about 4+ ? then we head to pastamania and we both ordered the super yummy baked rice !    woohoo. camwhoreeeeeeeeeee. xD    since it's like super early.. we went back shopping again ! yaaay :D walked around and got bored. so we went to J.CO to slack xD they have awesome seats there. Friday, March 06, 2009 This is going to be a random post :DD so bear with me yeah?  Went to Luo Zhi Xiang qian chang hui today ! (: accompany jieyi mei there. waited for 3 - 7pm for Show. talked, take fotos, slackk, eat. thanks weiwei for helping us to buy lunch! appreciated ^__^ get well soon yeah ! the line moved really slow though. jason joined us ard 6++ :D and then the line got REALLY packed. hot, packed, hot, squeezy. Show came on stage at 7+ ! (: he looks shuai in real life xD he sang some songs and danced on stage. awesome la !! even though we're super far away. oh wells. jason decided to get out of the crowd by climbing over the rails =x LOL. i waited till near a place with secruity guards then ask them to let me out. meimei continue to queue but she say she will meet her cousin later. but i still feel bad to leave her there. sorry mei :( pictures soon, really lazy to upload or whatever. :x btw, saw ferdy at east point too. AHAHAH. he botak :xx opps. i was readin xiaxue's blog just now.. and i saw gorg creatures ! :D     PINK DOLPHIN !!! chio a not. no, dun say sentosa have also. .__. ( SERENA insist have, since she work there before.) I TELL YOU LO, sentosa where got this shade of pink. DUN HAVEEEEEEEE. :x pretty pretty pink in nature xD where to find. anyways, talking about pink. WHY is there so many pink lappy/handphones now? dun get me wrong, it's a good thing.. BUT ! why last time dun have. HUH?! AND the other thing i really really want is.. (: back to blog again ! yayyy. that day right.. erm, i forgot when. =x I SAW RAINBOW ! and a lot of ppl tell me they saw it too. ahahahs. ard 6+? and thennn, newspaper say got double rainbow. i never see leh ! anyways, actually i never notice. is mummy came back, then ask me to look outside window. so pretttty kay ! :D i took peeektures. here are some of it ~          yesterday - 280209 was suppose to go out with WHAT ppl, but all not free :( end up, met jason at woodlands for movieee. wanted to shun bian check out the dun forget lyrics roadshow. but i see nvr it at first so went straight to cinema ~ wait for him then queue up for tickets. he say he want pay leh ! .__. i was likeeee. dun waste yr money lo. then he say nevermind x__x (i'm guilty!)   everything he settle ! rawrrrs. i'll make it up on yr bday :x bought tickets for :  He's just not that into you ! (:(:(: was dying to catch this movie cause ppl say nice. hahhs. i loveeeed the movie ! it's soo sweet yet so true :o but the cinema was freeeezing. x__x (sweater not thick enough..) AND, we had a super weird experience. there was this guy who erm, dressed quite nerdy and carrying a backpack.. walked in when the movie just start and shouted : " let's watch the movie" and "Let the movie start!" people were like totally staring. and like omg, he sat RIGHT in front jason !! i was like, shyttt. then bf was like laughing lo. the weird guy started talking to himself and he said loudloud "I think i'm late." THEN he turned ard and talked to bf. (who was kinda stun?) ask him movie just start ah? did he miss anything? i was omg-ing, the bunch of malay teens beside us were laughing. and the weird guy keep turning back to look ard. soooo weird. then he moved one row in front. (LUCKY.) and he started talking to his bag and getting up to go out and come back. then we were like laughing. after movie, we went to walkwalk ~ went courts to look at lappys. got one brand called gateway seems nice? but i nvr heard of the brand :o (american brand apparently) walk to other shops after admiring the diff lappys. bf said he wants to get me a bday pressie? i was like, you treat me le looo. @__@ he say nvm again (rawrrr.) then ask me choose ! went to gift a name, then i bought a hp strap (which needs more letters !) :x walked ard and look at cute stuff. then i told him, i cannot choose, you help me. he keep insisting me to pick one and refuse to tell me his budget. where got like this de ?! :o then i pick three plushies and ask him pick one. me : "which one cuter?" him : "all cute." me : "... you choose la ! i cannot pick." him : "dun wan. you choose." me : "fineee. then i stand here till you choose." him : "okay lo." then he stand there also. he purposely de ! @__@ make me no choice. then i choose the middle price de. him : "this one ah? you sureeee ah !" me : "yeah.. erm, i dunno leh ! okay la." him : " sure ah? " (ask me like three times) me : " ah ! you cannot ask me to make decisions one lo. " me : "aiya.. we go see other shops first." :x walked ard, then decided nth else nicer. LOL. then walk back to get the one i picked. then he bring to pay. @__@ second time of guilt ! walked out the shop, i asked him, ni bu hui xing tong ah, spend so much. he said nvm, once in awhile or smth. :o then i told him i wanna get him smth good for his bday ! (:(: decided to find a place to sit and talk after that :D went mac.. no seats ! then there was another mac at the place behind causeway. (civic center?) bf wanted to withdraw cash frm atm but super many ppl leh. then he say he dun drink lo .__. MY turn to treat. wahahahahs. :D bought double choc for him and coke + choc rasp cake for me (:   mm. the cake is normal.. if it's all choc wld be awesome. but cannot always eat lo ! faaaat. x__x jason lovesss his itouch. hahahs.   i was like.. SMILE ! then the shots ended up..   he refused to lo. ahahahs ! i must be a torture to go out with xP   him and my pressie ! ♥ cute horrsss. go figure which one i'm refering to :x ahahahs ! we talked a lot sia. about laptops, sch, modules, clubbing, whatevers, hs etc. same sch soon ! so awesome la :D THEN he told me he going to workplace later at 11+ to have go away party for his boss at 2am and after that he will start working at 7am ! rawrrr. means like, he could be resting at home then being out with me. third thing to be guilty about. :( seee. he's so nice. decided to head home after chatting. i walked up to the mrt platform then rmb tickets with him lo ! rawrrrr. then on the way home, it started raining sia. stuck without an umbrella and ask daddy to save me :x jasonBF : i had a greeeaat day ! (: thanks for the accompany and the treats and the pressie ! you're super sweet and an awesome friend. :D even thou i feel really bad, but i'm still glad for everything. today - 010309 slaccccked at home today. ahahas. nth much. besides watching tv. was going to do the habbo competition thingy. then got distracted. (as usual) rain super heavily today @__@ like, the drain in front of my block became a river. seriously. took peektures but not uploaded yet. went tiong market for dinner and had hotplate chicken chop. went grandma's (daddy's side) today for visit. tmrrrrrrr. going sentosa with poly peeps (: will take more pics 'cause kylie bringing her dogs ! oh man, i blogged from 10+ to 2.20am (with many pauses in between) and i have to wake up early tmr. shoot. going to bed, more soon. :D before i go.. i'm loving my dolphin. ahahahs.      xoxo, reen.
